DISCOVER MADRID OLD TOWN – Special International Tourist Guide Day

Discover the secrets of the most Historic Madrid: its origins, and its evolution from Villa to Capital of the Court.

A walk through Hapsburg Madrid and La Latina quarter where I will introduce you to their legends and anecdotes, who were some of the most representative characters who lived in the city, how Madrid was lived from the Middle Ages to the present day , “gossip” of the time, which events marked its urban layout, secret corners, traditions, etc.

Madrid has not always been the capital of Spain. I will explain to you how the city developed from an Arab settlement in the 9th century to the capital of the Habsburg dynasty.
We will visit the most beautiful squares in the city and some of the best kept corners.
We will also walk through the popular neighborhood of “La Latina”, we will see remains of the old wall, medieval squares, where San Isidro Labrador lived and a secret garden, among many other things.
